Not a ball was bowled at the Oval yesterday, so the bottom of the table championship clash between Surrey and Gloucestershire ended in a soggy draw; which does not help Mark Butcher's men who are in seventh place, one point behind Middlesex in the Division One table, but with one game less in hand over their North London rivals.
