Founded in 1978, the Surrey County Cricket Club Supporters' Club (formerly known as the Surrey County Cricket Club Supporters' Association) aims to encourage loyal support for Surrey County Cricket Club and to promote the interests of Supporters’ Club members.  Our activities include:

Establishing a base of Surrey support
Running coaches to away matches

Producing a members' newsletter and Internet website
Fundraising
Organising social events

In addition to the regular Sunday League coach trips, the Supporters’ Club also organises a very popular ‘Weekend Trip’ which this year is likely to be to Bristol.  Like many of our activities, we do rely on the co-operation of Surrey CCC, such as car parking at The Oval for those going on our away trips, however it is recognised that the Supporters’ Club has a separate identity and it has always sought to preserve its independence.

The club’s newsletter and website, Oval World, is greatly enjoyed.  Oval World is written from the perspective of the rank and file for the benefit of the rank and file supporters of Surrey cricket.  As well as keeping everyone informed of forthcoming social events, coach trips etc., it contains many interesting articles on the game, covering both the past and the present, including player profiles, statistical analyses and the occasional competition.

The Surrey CCC Supporters’ Club organises the occasional social event, such as the Guildford marquee, a greyhound evening, a table quiz and the Christmas Draw party.  For many years now, the Supporters’ Club has also run the Christmas Draw on behalf of Surrey CCC.  The draw consistently makes a profit in the region of £2,000, part of which forms a donation to Surrey CCC’s Beneficiary.

In recent years we have raised nearly £40,000 for the ‘Outreach’ winter coaching programme, which goes out to schools in South London and most of Surrey.  This programme reaches thousands of children and has, hopefully, contributed to the development of a future cricketer or two and established a bond with Surrey amongst tomorrow’s cricket following public.
