SURREY BROWN CAPS V YORKSHIRE CARNEGIE at the Brit Oval (FPT), 20 MAY 2009

With both teams going into tomorrow's contest saying that they intend to finish their 2009 FPT game on a high, perhaps this match will be contested by two full strength sides after all. It would be no surprise, however, if Mark Ramprakash was rested to make way for Stewart Walters who made an impressive 49 against Sussex when the great man was stood down last.

Assuming the visitors play their best side, Surrey could have their work cut out with the ball. Jacques Rudolph (227 FPT runs at an average of 32.42), Michael Vaughan, Anthony McGrath, Rich Pyrah and Gerard Brophy are all dangerous. The Tykes' attack isn't too shabby either - Deon Kruis, Rana Naved and David Wainwright are all conceding less than 4.25 runs per over in this season's Trophy, while Pyrah has nipped out 15 batsmen at a cost of 20.80 runs apiece.

James Benning, with 2,465 List A runs, needs 35 more for 2,500. For the visitors, Rich Pyrah goes into the match with 73 List A career wickets and Anthony McGrath has 6,940 List A runs.

No change - at least that was the official word after today's victory over the Sharks.

Yorkshire 4 May 2009 FPT Won By 63 Runs Headingley 184-7 (47) 104 (30.2)

Surrey have won six out of their last eight one-day meetings against Yorkshire at the Oval, so the form book is on their side. If Ramprakash plays and the Brown Caps win the toss and bat, I can only see one winner. But any other scenario could well produce a close finish. The Carnegie will be keen to avenge the defeat they suffered on May 4, when they succumbed to Chris Schofield. The former Lancashire and England leg-spinner is hot at the moment and, on the same strip as was used for today's game against Sussex, you'd have to back him to cash in again. So, what I am leading up to? A Surrey win, of course!

J Rudolph, J Sayers, M Vaughan, A McGrath (capt), A Lyth, G Brophy (wk), R Naved-ul-Hasan, R Pyrah, D Wainwright, D Kruis and S Patterson.
